The new Mercedes A45 AMG is a significant milestone of the company, because for the last 45 years the brand has not developed powerful cars in the compact class. And the engine is also very attractive: capacity 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder with power output 360-horsepower and maximum torque of 450 Nm. This engine meets environmental class Euro 6, which will come into force only in 2015, as promised by the manufacturer the fuel consumption is 6.9 liters per 100 kilometers

The Audi’s answer to this is the five-door S3 that is even though a little less fast and powerful. The engine has the same four-cylinder 2.0-liter, developing 300-hp, peak torque is also not as steep – 380 Nm. Up to 100 km / h from zero Audi S3 will accelerate 0.4 seconds longer – 5.0 seconds to the robotic S-Tronic, and a six-speed “mechanics” – 5.5 seconds. But the claimed fuel consumption of the “Germans” matches – 6.9 liters per hundred (7 liters with the “mechanics”). The same maximum speed – 250 km / h.
