Audi Q8 Sport conceptual car with an electric charge

Audi Q8 Sport concept is a prototype of the production version with the same index. The show car has an interesting design as well as a technically upgraded package. It is different from the Detroit Q8 version by interior equipment. In addition, the Geneva Concept is a mild hybrid car supplied by and electric unit, and it is able to move at the blanked off ICE. The traction battery is 0, 9 kW/h.

Under the hood of the novelty the carmakers installed 3.0 six-cylinder TFSI generating 450-hp, where is mounted an electric supercharger as well as a combined starter-generator (between the engine and the transmission). The electrical power components are powered by a 48-volt system. The new power unit let the novelty leading 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds. The engineers say that that the combination of hybrid motor and electro compressor allowed to reduce the fuel consumption. The top speed can get 275 km/h point.

For the new model there was used a Quattro all-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension with a five-position level adjustment. It is possible to see 20-inch carbon-ceramic plates behind new 23-inch wheel disks. Almost the same version will be launched into production in 2018 year.
