The Germans are developing a new flagship supercar for Audi, which will receive a diesel hybrid setup for the rear wheels and the electric motor for the front. According to majority of official press releases of the company, the novelty will act as a link between the serial and racing model of Audi. In this case, it will not be the successor to the current R8, but will take the place of higher class and will compete with supercars.

The car will come with a full-drive: the rear wheels via a 7-speed transmission will turn the 3.0-liter turbo diesel engine (like SQ5, but with some upgrades), and the torque to the front axle will be provided by two motor, similar to the Porsche 918 Spyder. In general, the power plant has to develop more than 600 HP and almost 1,000 Nm.
