Geneva: Audi Q2 compact crossover

Audi Company put on its stand a compact crossover named Q2 at the Geneva Motor Show. New Audi Q2 is based on Volkswagen MQB platform. The wheelbase of the crossover is 2595 mm and clearance – 200 mm. The other car dimensions are 4191 mm in length, 2009 mm in width (including mirrors) and 1508 mm in height. A luggage compartment’s capacity comes to 1050 liters due to the folded seatbacks.

The base motor will be presented by 1-liter 3-cylinder petrol engine generating 116 horsepower. In addition, the SUV model will be offered with 1.4-liter 4-cylinder turbo, whose top version will develop 190 hp. Diesel units include 116-hp 1.6-liter engine and 2.0-liter one, delivering 150 or 190 hp. Transmission can be 6-step mechanics or S-tronic dual-clutch automatic.

The Q2 crossover’s package will get other options such as electronically controlled shock absorbers, Drive Select with different settings of the suspension and powertrain, ESP with off-road mode and a set of MMI with 12.3-inch display, as well as support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The drivers can also order 705-watt Bang & Olufsen stereo system with 14 speakers, an assistant drive in traffic jams, lane support system, parking assistant and adaptive cruise control.
