New Audi S5 2013

It’s hard to believe, but 2013 is already the sixth model year for the Audi S5 (first car was released in 2008). Since its debut model won millions of fans, but in all honesty it can be said that all the uniquenes of S5 is in the 4.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine. Well, the one that was on the old RS4 and R8. Audi S5 Cabriolet was first equipped with 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 in 2010, and in 2013 six-cylinder power unit was the only engine for both models.

As for power, there’s nothing to complain about. 3.0T Quattro engine that produces 333 hp. In general, the figures are the same as for all other vehicles equipped with a turbocharged engine with the capacity of 3.0 liters. Compared to the old 4.2-liter version, the new one has 21 hp less (torque remains the same), but, on the other hand, fuel consumption was reduced by 2.1 l/100 km in the city and 1.2 l/100km on the highway. Despite the loss of power by 21 hp, acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 2013 Audi takes the same 4.9 seconds, the same as with the S5 in 2012 with an engine of 4.2 l.
