The engineers equipped RWS model by 5.2 FSI unit delivering 540-horses and 540 Nm, the same for the standard R8. As for the transmission, they did not give information. The rear-wheel R8 V10 RWS spends 3.7 seconds to get the 100 km/h. This is 0.2 worse than the R8’s acceleration time. The RWS model’s top-speed is identical to the simple R8 V10 version: it is equal to 320 km/h in a closed version, and 318 in the Spyder variant.
