The Germans presented their new Audi SQ5 TSI – a «charged» modification of a crossover Audi Q5, which received new gasoline turbo engine with a capacity of 354 hp. Last summer Audi has shown the world its fastest crossover – Diesel Q5, which had under the hood a 313-hp TDI. This model was designed for Europe, but aroused the interest of Americans, and therefore it was decided to release a similar car, but with a petrol engine (diesel in the U.S. is not favored).

Thus a new Audi SQ5 TSI was born. It is superior in power to SQ5 TDI – it has a turbo diesel engine that is developing 354 hp. But it has a lower maximum torque (470 Nm vs. 650 Nm, respectively, for the same volume of 3.0 liters). Significant advantage in Newton-meters compensates for the difference in power: Diesel SUV accelerates to 100 km / h in 5.1 seconds, TSI – in 5.3 seconds. The maximum speed of both versions is electronically limited to 250 km / h Note that the S-version of SUV from Audi has eight-wheel drive and “automatic” transmission.

If we believe the manufacturer, the average fuel expense on the Audi SQ5 TSI European standard (NEDC) is 8.5 l/100 km. While SQ5 TDI needs 7.2 liters of diesel for the same 100 km of ride.
