The latest technologies for 3D-sound will be presented for Audi Q7 in 2015 and is available as a component of Advanced Sound System from Bang & Olufsen and Bose Surround Sound.

At its core, this system has a complex algorithm works, which quickly and accurately calculates the signals of each speaker.
Audi has developed this system in conjunction with Bang & Olufsen, in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits in Erlangen. In the first phase the calculation process, the software divides the music source data into spatial components. It does this by using the information contained in these audio files. Using different sound reflections, the algorithm can calculate a mathematical model of each recording. It does not matter, whether the recorded audio signal format, mono, stereo or 5.1 Surround Sound.

In Advanced Sound System is used a digital signal processor channels 11 and speaker 23 so that sound and harmonic equally accurate for each of the passenger compartment. Also recently was developed new speaker to the new size of the subwoofer 200 mm (7.9 inches) to 250 mm (9.8 inches) and a new amplifier. Now the output from the speakers of the car owner will receive a 1920 watt audio sound of the highest quality.
