Audi is going to introduce the hydrogen H-Tron Quattro concept

Just recently the E-tron concept has been presented on the Audi’s stand. It was an electrically propelled crossover. And the carmakers are ready to propose another concept at the International Auto Show NAIAS in Detroit. It will get the name Audi H-tron Quattro crossover which will drive due to the hydrogen fuel cells. A design of the novelty will be similar to the previous E-Tron Quattro electric prototype, except a fuel cell unit. The manufacturers are planning the crossover’s launch at the beginning of the 2018 year.

It is known that the power unit of the h-tron SUV consists of a lithium-ion battery and three electric motors. Their total capacity is 430 horsepower, but it can be increased up to 496 hp for a short time. It has been declared about 800 Nm of torque. This all gives the possibility to accelerate the crossover to 100 km / h in 4.6 seconds; the top speed, of course, limited electronically can reach the 210 km / h point. The cruising range makes 500 kilometer.

The interior model’s characteristics are not disclosed. The German company has promised to tell more about it at the Auto Show in Detroit. There will also be known the cost of H-tron Quattro.
