Audi has released the official specifications of its conceptual coupe Audi RS5, which is equipped with a diesel engine with an electric supercharger. Acceleration time coupe to 100 km/h was slightly more than was announced earlier, but still impressive.

The design of the three-liter diesel V6 twin turbo applied on the concept of one of the turbine is driven by an electric motor. It can promote the turbine up to 70 000 rev/min in less than a second, the manufacturers claim, and this decision to the motor “staggering” amount of traction at speeds close to idle. In fact, the 385-hp engine has an impressive 750 Nm of torque, which is available on the basis of formal characteristics, even at 1250 rev/min. However, it should be noted that the range in which the engine realizes the maximum torque rather narrow – from 1250 to 2000 rev/min, whereas the power unit is able to spin up to 5 500 r/min.

Characteristics of the motor enough to, according to the Audi, coupe accelerate to 100 km/h in 4 seconds. However, earlier in the Audi reported that the dynamics of the concept will be slightly better, and accelerate to “hundreds” takes less than 4 seconds. 200 km/h with the original coupe diesel gaining 16 seconds and a top speed of the concept is fixed at around 280 km/h. At the same time fuel consumption of the diesel engine is less than 5.3 liters per 100 kilometers.
